Login and Account Management

ChurchBuddy uses a simple email-based login system with one-time passwords (OTP) for secure access.

Logging In

Step 1: Request One-Time Password

  1. Go to the ChurchBuddy website
  2. Enter your email address
  3. Click “Request One-Time Password”
  4. Check your email for a 6-digit OTP code
Tip: Make sure to check your spam folder if you don’t see the email within a few minutes.

Step 2: Enter OTP

  1. Enter the 6-digit OTP code from your email
  2. Click “Verify One-Time Password”
  3. You’ll be logged in and redirected to your organizations page

Changing Your Email

If you entered the wrong email address:
  1. Click “Edit Email” or similar button
  2. Enter the correct email address
  3. Request a new OTP

Creating a New Account

If you don’t have a ChurchBuddy account yet:
  1. Enter your email and request an OTP (as above)
  2. After verifying the OTP, you’ll be prompted to create an account
  3. Fill in the required information:
    • First Name (required)
    • Last Name (required)
    • Church/Organization Name (required)
  4. Click “Complete Account” or “Submit”
Note: You’ll only need to create your account once. After that, you can log in with just your email and OTP.

Joining an Organization

After logging in, you’ll see your organizations page. To join a new organization:
  1. Click the ”+” button or “Join Organization” option
  2. Enter the Organization ID provided by your organization’s admin
  3. Click “Join”
  4. You’ll be added to the organization and can start viewing schedules
Tip: Ask your organization’s administrator for the Organization ID if you don’t have it.

Signing Out

To sign out of ChurchBuddy:
  1. Click the user icon in the top right corner
  2. Click “Sign Out” in the dropdown menu
  3. You’ll be logged out and redirected to the login page
Note: Signing out clears your session. You’ll need to log in again with your email and OTP to access ChurchBuddy.

Account Information

Your account stores:
  • Email address (used for login)
  • First name and last name
  • Church/Organization name
  • Organizations you belong to
  • Your schedule and availability preferences
You can view your name and email by clicking the user icon in the top right corner.

Troubleshooting

Didn’t receive OTP email:
  • Check your spam/junk folder
  • Verify you entered the correct email address
  • Wait a few minutes and try again
  • Contact support if the problem persists
OTP expired or invalid:
  • Request a new OTP
  • Make sure you enter all 6 digits correctly
  • OTPs expire after a set time, so request a fresh one if needed
Can’t remember which email you used:
  • Try the email address you typically use for church/organization communications
  • Contact your organization’s admin - they can see which email is associated with your account
  • Contact support for assistance
Account information is incorrect:
  • Contact your organization’s Owner or Admin - they can update your information
  • Or contact support for assistance
