Dashboard Overview

The Dashboard is your personal homepage when you log into ChurchBuddy. It provides a comprehensive overview of your schedule, upcoming assignments, and important organization information, all in one convenient place.

What You’ll See

When you open the Dashboard, you’ll see:
  1. Welcome Header - A personalized greeting with your organization’s name
  2. Availability Button - Quick access to set your availability/unavailability
  3. My Upcoming Schedule Widget - A list of services where you’re scheduled
  4. Upcoming Events Widget - A list of upcoming events in your organization
  5. Volunteer Opportunities Widget - Positions you can volunteer for (if teams allow volunteering)
  6. Quick Actions (Owner/Admin only) - Quick access buttons to add services, events, manage teams, and view people

Setting Your Availability

One of the most important features on the Dashboard is managing when you’re available or unavailable.

Opening the Availability Calendar

  1. On the Dashboard, click the “Schedule Your Availability” button
  2. A calendar popup will appear showing a full calendar view

Marking Dates as Unavailable

  1. In the calendar popup, click on any date to mark it as unavailable
  2. Dates you mark as unavailable will show with a red circle indicator
  3. Click the same date again to remove the unavailability mark
  4. Your changes are automatically saved
Tip: Marking dates as unavailable helps schedulers know when you cannot be assigned to services. They’ll see warnings when trying to schedule you on unavailable dates.

Closing the Calendar

  • Click the × button in the top right of the calendar popup
  • Or click outside the calendar popup area

Viewing Your Upcoming Services

The Dashboard shows you a list of services where you’re currently scheduled. For each service, you’ll see:
  • Service Name
  • Date and Time
  • Location
  • Your Assigned Position(s)
  • Team(s) you’re serving on
Services are sorted with the next upcoming service at the top.

Viewing More Services

  • Click on any service card to go to the Calendar section
  • Or click the “View All” button (if available) to see all upcoming services in the Calendar section

Volunteer Opportunities

The Volunteer Opportunities widget shows positions you can volunteer for:
  • Available Positions - Open positions on teams that allow volunteering
  • Already Volunteered - Positions you’ve already volunteered for
  • Volunteer Button - Click to volunteer for available positions
Note: Volunteer opportunities only appear for teams that have “Allow people to volunteer” enabled. If you don’t see any opportunities, it may be because teams haven’t enabled this feature, or all positions are already filled.

Quick Actions (Owner/Admin Only)

If you’re an Owner or Organization Admin, you’ll see a Quick Actions widget with buttons to:
  • Add Service - Quickly create a new service
  • Add Event - Quickly create a new event
  • Manage Teams - Go to the Teams management page
  • View People - Go to the People section
From the Dashboard, you can navigate to:
  • People - View and manage people in your organization (if you have permission)
  • Calendar - View and manage services, events, rooms, and resources
  • Organization - Organization settings and management (Owner/Admin only)
  • WorshipBuddy - WorshipBuddy integration settings (if you have access)
Use the navigation bar at the top of the page to access these sections.
Note: The Dashboard is a standalone page accessed from the main navigation. Teams are managed within the Organization section (as a sub-tab), not as a separate navigation item.
