Creating Your Organization

Your organization is the foundation of ChurchBuddy. It’s where all your teams, services, events, and people are managed. Each organization is completely separate, so you can manage multiple churches or ministries from one account.

What is an Organization?

An organization represents your church, ministry, or group. Within an organization, you can:
  • Create teams (ministries) and assign people to them
  • Schedule services and events
  • Manage people and their relationships
  • Send announcements and communicate with members
  • Track attendance and check-ins
  • Organize groups for targeted communication
Note: Organizations must be created in a web browser. The mobile app is for managing existing organizations, not creating new ones.

Creating Your Organization

To create a new organization:
  1. Log in to church.worshipbuddy.org in a web browser
  2. Click “Start Org” or “Create Organization”
  3. Fill in your organization details:
    • Organization Name - The name of your church or ministry (e.g., “First Community Church”)
    • Organization Type - Select the type that best describes your organization (Church, Ministry, Non-profit, etc.)
    • Address - Your organization’s physical address (this will be used as the default location for services)
  4. Click “Create Organization”

Your Organization ID

After creating your organization, you’ll see a unique Organization ID. This ID is important:
  • Share it with others - People need this ID to join your organization
  • Keep it secure - Only share it with people you want to invite
  • Find it anytime - It’s displayed in your organization’s Settings
Tip: You can copy your Organization ID from Settings to easily share it with others who want to join.

Once your organization is created, you’re ready to set it up:
  1. Add People - Add members to your organization
  2. Create Teams - Set up your ministries and teams
  3. Create Services - Set up your regular services
  4. Configure Settings - Customize your organization’s settings

Organization Settings

After creating your organization, you can customize it in Settings:
  • Update organization name and address
  • Configure check-in methods
  • Set up integrations (WorshipBuddy, BibleBuddy)
  • Manage permissions and access
  • Configure email templates
  • And more
