# Managing Your Organizations

The User Organizations page is the first page you see after logging in at [church.worshipbuddy.org](https://church.worshipbuddy.org). It shows all the organizations you belong to and allows you to access them or join new ones.

## Viewing Your Organizations

After logging in, you'll see a page listing all organizations you're a member of. Each organization card shows:

* **Organization Name**
* **Organization ID** (for sharing with others)
* **Edit** button (**Owner only** — opens organization edit popup for name, type, and address; **Delete Org** on this popup is not functional today — use mobile **More → Organization Settings → Delete Organization**)
* **Setup** button (**Owner only**, when setup wizard steps remain incomplete)

Non-owners see only the organization name and ID (with copy). Organization Admins rename the org under **Organization → Organization Details** inside the org.

<Info>
  **Note**: On mobile, see **More → Your Role** on the org card — shows Owner, Admin, Scheduler, or Member. There is no separate Team Admin or Viewer label; Team Admins with scheduler permission show as **Scheduler**, others as **Member**.
</Info>

## Accessing an Organization

To access an organization's schedule and features:

1. Click on the organization card
2. You'll be taken to that organization's **Dashboard**
3. From there, use the top navigation: **Dashboard**, **People**, **Calendar**, **Organization**, etc.

<Info>
  **Tip**: You can belong to multiple organizations. Each organization maintains its own teams, services, and members.
</Info>

## Joining a New Organization

To join a new organization, you need the Organization ID from that organization's administrator.

### Joining via Organization ID

**Web:**

1. Click **Join Organization**
2. Enter the **Organization ID**
3. Click **Join**
4. You'll be added to the organization and can immediately access it

**Mobile app:**

1. On the Dashboard, tap **Join Org**
2. Enter the **Organization ID**
3. Tap **Join**

<Info>
  Joining adds you to the organization immediately — there is no separate confirmation email.
</Info>

### Finding Your Organization ID

If you're trying to share your organization's ID with others:

1. Go to **Organization** in the top navigation
2. Click the **Organization Details** sub-tab
3. The Organization ID is displayed at the top
4. Click **Copy** to copy it to your clipboard
5. Share it with people you want to invite

## Organization Roles

Your role determines what you can do within each organization:

* **Owner** - You created the organization and have full control
* **Organization Admin** - Extensive permissions across the organization
* **Team Admin** - Administrative control over specific teams
* **Scheduler** - Can assign people to services for their teams
* **Viewer** - Read-only access to assigned teams
* **Member** - Default role with no special permissions

See the [Permissions documentation](/ChurchBuddy/Setup/permissions) for details on what each role can do.

## Switching Between Organizations

If you belong to multiple organizations:

1. Click the **ChurchBuddy** brand in the top navigation to return to the organizations list
2. Click on a different organization to switch to it
3. Your settings and preferences are separate for each organization

## Leaving an Organization

**Web:** Open your person detail page (`/org-person-detail/`) → **Leave Organization** → confirm.

**Mobile:** **More → Organization Settings → Leave Organization** → confirm.

<Warning>
  **Owners** must transfer ownership before leaving. Other members can leave themselves without contacting an admin.
</Warning>

## Troubleshooting

**Can't see an organization you should belong to:**

* Make sure you're logged in with the correct email address
* Verify that you've been added to the organization (check with an admin)
* Try refreshing the page

**Want to join but don't have Organization ID:**

* Contact the organization's administrator
* Ask them for the Organization ID
* They can find it in **Organization → Organization Details**

**Accidentally joined wrong organization:**

* Contact the organization's Owner or Admin to have you removed
* Then join the correct organization with the right Organization ID
